Champaign, Illinois’ Copper Creek Church is a complex 18,400-square-foot assembly of nine metal buildings including worship space, an office wing, a kid’s wing, multiple gathering and study spaces, and an entry vestibule. Aesthetically, it was designed to represent the agricultural nature of the surrounding community. The walls are clad in metal panels and cultured stone, with numerous glass treatments. Cupolas adorn the ridge and speak to the barn feel the designers were looking to highlight.
