The Miryang Arirang Observatory is South Korea’s latest educational attraction. Opened in May 2020, the science center features 99 seats and a 14-meter-diameter (45.9′) dome, with an overall footprint of approximately 2,943 square meters (9,655.5 square feet). The structure’s architects and designers selected the roofing materials due to their corrosion resistance, fire safety, high recyclability rate, and the ability to choose a matte coating that would reduce the glossiness and reflective nature of metal.
