Hurricane Michael devastated the Florida panhandle in October 2018, resulting in widespread destruction. Marina Landing, an iconic 17-story high-rise condominium building at the base of the Hathaway Bridge, was in desperate need of a new roof after the storm.

The existing 14,500 square feet of metal mansards were roofed with a discontinued stone-coated metal; the customer selected Roser’s Stone Wood Shake in the color Birch as the replacement. Working safely and efficiently were the main goals, and the project had many challenges including needing a complete re-deck. Managing extreme logistics and high-gust winds while using a heavy-duty crane (with limited ground space), was the installer’s top priority.
