As Gary Reichert mentioned in his Publisher’s Note on page 3, we have just returned from our 2nd annual Construction Rollforming Show. What a breath of fresh air to be able to meet, converse, and socialize—in person. Sure, Zoom calls may have earned their place in day-to-day business, but nothing beats the real, live thing.
What shows are on your calendar for 2021 and 2022? Two big ones for the roofing world are approaching quickly. See page 28 for a preview of all things IRE (the International Roofing Expo). I attended my first educational seminars on roofing at last year’s IRE in Dallas, and I can’t wait to learn more at this August’s event.
Just prior to IRE is the Florida Roofing & Sheet Metal Expo, held in late July. Show floor details and programming information can be found starting on page 32 of this issue. I’ve never attended this show, but they are celebrating their 99th year and must be doing something right!
If you aren’t traveling quite yet or can’t make it to these shows, stay busy with this latest issue and its articles on working with natural metals, testing of coil coatings, and a product feature on clips, clamps, and cleats. I’m sure you will find something useful within these pages.
Hope to see you (in person) soon!
