Direct Metals Inc. (DMI) supplies fasteners & roof accessories to the commercial, agricultural and residential building markets. Products are shipped from three convenient distribution centers in Fort Myers, Florida, Plymouth, Indiana and its new center in Houston, Texas, opened in 2024.
The core of the DMI product line consists of long-life SCAMP Hex Washer Head fasteners and Low-Profile PANCLIP screws and panel clips for standing seam metal roof applications. The 304 Stainless Steel Cap SCAMP provides metal roof warranty protection equal to that of the panel itself. A high-quality powder coat paint system is used to match all panel colors, which helps color retention and adhesion. The PANCLIP Pancake & Wafer head fasteners are designed to be used with panel clips on standing seam roofing on wood or steel substrates. Available in 304 Stainless Steel or G-90 Galvanized, both are coated with DMG85, providing additional corrosion resistance. Both SCAMP and PANCLIP have passed rigid Dade County, Florida, protocols to meet requirements for sale in high corrosion areas.
Additional products include 304 Stainless Steel painted rivets, solid and vented foam closure strips, butyl mastic, pipe flashings for metal roofs, polycarbonate panels for skylights and a full line of hand tools for metal applications.
New in 2025 will be the WOODZIP and STEELZIP painted HWH fasteners for all-steel and post-frame buildings.
