Built in 2025, this new home sits along the banks of the Tuscarawas River in Dover, Ohio. Michael DeBois, the homeowner and a ProVia employee ambassador, knew from the outset that a metal roof was essential to his vision. His goal was to construct a high-quality home from top to bottom—one that combined durability, protection, and visual appeal. As a father of two school-age boys involved in sports and activities, he also prioritized a low-maintenance exterior.
“A standing seam steel roof was an option, as it’s extremely durable, but the look felt too commercial for my taste,” he explains. “I wanted the protection and peace of mind of metal, but I also wanted strong curb appeal.”
He ultimately selected ProVia Metal Slate Roofing in Coalstone. “I love the style and color; it complements the white stone beautifully and enhances the black windows and doors.”
Mario Ionno Construction installed the roofing system. “We had worked with stamped metal before – not a lot, but we had enough knowledge to feel comfortable with the project. For this install we used a 3-man crew, and the entire roof took about a month to complete because of the weather being either snowy or too cold. We recently completed two more roofs and have received many compliments. The look of the ProVia metal roof is second to none. Though it may take time and diligence to install, the look is well worth it.”
DeBois agrees: “I receive compliments all the time—people drive by and call, text, or even stop to ask about the roof,” he says. “I’m proud of how my home turned out, and so are my boys!”
