Green Knight Solution Balances Granite Ridge Shingles with Standing Seam Solar Area

This Green Knight® client was interested in the Unified Steel Granite Ridge stone-coated steel shingle due the outstanding product features including wind uplift, VSH (Very Severe Hail) Rating and aesthetics. However, the client also wanted to install solar panels. The Granite Ridge product does not offer solar mounts due to the design of the shingle. The Green Knight® Solution was to install one entire face of the roof with Standing Seam so the solar could be easily mounted. The Granite Ridge shingles were installed 3’ in from each rake end for aesthetics. The result was the product the client loved while still meeting their desire to install solar panels.
