If you’re in the metal roofing industry—or considering starting your own business—looking for high-quality rollforming machinery can feel overwhelming. Finding equipment that’s guaranteed to last, plus providing industry-leading results is the goal, right? But where do you look for that ideal?
Founded out of 10+ years of experience in metal roofing, Formwright began in 2019 with a singular idea – to provide a solution that combines high-quality rollforming machines, enclosed trailers, and problem-solving innovations tailored to each customer’s needs.
Industry-Leading Machinery
Not all rollforming machinery is created equal. That’s why Formwright only supplies industry-leading rollforming machinery built by New Tech Machinery (NTM). Versatility, durability, and easy maintenance are just a few qualities of NTM. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, NTM rollforming machines are straightforward to use with the “easiest tooling to change out,” according to Formwright salesman Levi Stoltzfus. And with the upcoming release of the NTM SSQ3 and its quick-change dies, the game is changing again.
Customized Enclosed Trailers
When Formwright began, there was strong demand for high-quality rollforming machinery. However, there were no proper trailers to safely transport this expensive equipment through rain, snow, and dust. To solve this problem, Formwright co-owner Larry Schlabach adapted an enclosed trailer design he had already been using in his metal roofing business. The original design was created by Matt Burkholder in Nappanee, Indiana. From that first design, Formwright went on to develop a full line of enclosed trailers built specifically for NTM machines. Features include heavy-duty construction to handle the weight of the machine and coils, and door configurations to make loading coil and other materials easy and straightforward.
Problem-Solving Innovations
Beyond the rollforming machinery and the trailers, Formwright specializes in developing tools and accessories that solve real world problems on the jobsite. This begins with custom trailer setups that include a 3-coil rack that mounts above the rollformer and a pegboard and bin system for organization. Additionally customers can add a trim rack, various ladder racks, and additional specialized storage solutions.
When it comes time to roll metal, Formwright has developed a number of machine controllers that solve specific needs for various customers. They’ve also brought to market smaller accessories that make each job easier and more efficient. Finally, Formwright sells their own line of specialized tools, from ladders to benders, as well as premium tools from industry partners.
The Rollforming Solution
After seven years, the solution remains the same – fully outfitted custom rollforming rigs for metal roofing customers across the country. With demand for metal roofing at an all-time high, Formwright takes the pressure off finding the best equipment by supplying an all-in-one solution.
