Welcome to one of my favorite issues of the year—the annual Idea Book. These 84 pages contain 32 exceptional metal roofing projects. You will find a library, a college coliseum, a church or two, and private homes galore. The high number of residential projects isn’t surprising, given the rise in home improvement spending over the last year. According to our most recent state of the industry survey, 47% of roofing contractor respondents shared that their residential volume increased in 2020. Flip through this issue and you’ll see many unique, one-of-a-kind homes with metal roofs. What projects have you completed this year?
One thing we added in this edition is a Project Source Guide. All of the suppliers and manufacturers who had a hand in creating the roofs in this issue are listed by category on page 70. If you’ve been looking for a new fastener company, a different panel supplier, or something else entirely, check out our handy alphabetical guide.
We’ve also included Product Profiles in this issue, starting on page 72. While the Project Source Guide is a simple list, Product Profiles offer details on specific products and product lines from your favorite (or new-to-you) manufacturers and suppliers. Flip to that section and learn which products can fulfill your specific needs.
Want another great spot to find new offerings in the industry? Join me at our second Construction Rollforming Show from June 3 to 4 in Cincinnati, Ohio. We’re very excited that trade shows are beginning again as restrictions are lifted—I hope to see you there!
