Coated Metals Group (CMG), an employee-owned manufacturer and distributor of pre-finished steel products for the architectural metal and roofing industries, is proud to announce the opening of its newest stocking and distribution facility in Omaha, Nebraska. The new location marks CMG’s 14th facility nationwide, reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering inventory, responsive service, and local support to metal roofing professionals across the United States.
The Omaha expansion represents another milestone in CMG’s long-term strategy of placing inventory closer to the customer. By strategically growing its nationwide distribution network, CMG continues to reduce freight costs, shorten lead times, and provide contractors, manufacturers, and distributors with immediate access to the products they need to keep projects moving.
The decision to establish a permanent presence in Omaha was driven by several strategic factors. The city’s sustained population growth and expanding construction markets have created increasing demand for premium architectural metal products. At the same time, the region presented an opportunity to improve local availability and service where dedicated metal roofing suppliers have historically been limited.
From a logistics standpoint, Omaha strengthens CMG’s national distribution network by creating a natural connection between the company’s headquarters in Verona, Wisconsin, its manufacturing operations in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Denver, Colorado, and customers throughout the Midwest and Great Plains. The new facility also builds upon an established customer base in the region, allowing CMG to further invest in relationships with contractors, manufacturers, and distributors while supporting continued growth.
The Omaha facility will stock CMG’s extensive portfolio of premium architectural metal products, including pre-finished coil and sheet, roofing accessories, and complementary products serving the residential, commercial, and agricultural construction markets.
